Media personality, author, keynote speaker, and Family and Domestic Violence Specialist, Renee Eaves, has built a reputation for navigating some of the most complex human and systemic challenges.
Renee was the first woman in Australia to successfully self-represent in a legal action relating to assault and deprivation of liberty, setting legal precedent. Her years of advocacy contributed to law reform, including her recommendations adopted through the Crime and Corruption Commission’s Operation Impala Inquiry.
Throughout her work, Renee previously supported both members of the public struggling to obtain help and police officers themselves facing internal challenges, which gave her a rare understanding of the realities on all sides of complex matters.
Over time, she recognised the same underlying patterns repeatedly emerging: power, control, manipulation, and the barriers people face when seeking help while in a state of trauma. That realisation of what she had gained over many years led her to refine her expertise to focus on and specialise in coercive control.
Today, Renee is known for her ability to identify what others often miss and say so with precision. She articulates complex experiences with clarity, transforming confusion into understanding and helping people give voice to circumstances that can feel impossible to explain. Her detailed reports are recognised for turning fragmented experiences into clear, evidence-based narratives that help decision makers understand the very real picture.
